The principals of Spicetree, Longbranch, Lexington, Greentree by Marshall University and Greentree by the Huntington Mall Apartments are Brereton Jones and Ned Jones, who are brothers. They built their first apartments together in 1971. Since then they have gone on to build together the Spicetree and Longbranch Apartments. In addition, Ned Jones built the Greentree Apartments and the Greentree East Apartments. All of the apartments are managed by the Greentree office
Since 1971, Brereton and Ned have varied interests.
Ned has built many houses in the area and developed Churchill Oaks, an upscale residential subdivision. Ned is a past Tri-State Home Builder of the Year recipient. In 1986, Ned was elected to the West Virginia State Senate, where he served for two terms. Most of Ned's public service is now as a volunteer on two issues: building a new regional airport and restoring antebellum home and museum of General Jenkins.

Brereton owns and operates with his wife Libby, Airdrie Stud in Midway, Kentucky. This is one of the top thoroughbred farms in the Bluegrass area. Brereton was elected Lt. Governor of Kentucky and in 1987, and in 1991 was elected Governor. He returns frequently to West Virginia for business and family reasons.
Throughout Brereton and Ned's many business ventures there is one standard which has never wavered - commitment to fairness. If you lease with them we are sure you will agree.
